LUXOPHIA

Light (lux) and wisdom (sophia). We research the light that mathematics gives rise to — and bring it into the world as art.

Lectures & workshops

Learn it.
Make it. Open it.

From mathematics and code to a finished work — the techniques of the lab, taught as they are used.

Schedule

No sessions are scheduled at the moment.

New lectures and workshops are announced here and on social media. Talks for schools, companies and groups can be arranged on request.

Founder

Masaki Nakayama

CG artist and researcher — and chief priest of Ankokuin, a Nichiren Buddhist temple. He treats art, science and Buddhism as interchangeable ways of opening a new perspective.

LUXOPHIA is growing toward a house of several artists who enjoy exploring CG technology — and live from the art it produces.
